Saj is a technologist by trade and apparently, he was a very good one at that. Working his way up the ladder in infrastructure technology, with a career spanning from working at the Walt Disney Corporation to becoming a VP at a Tier 1 Investment Bank. Here, he cut his teeth in one of the most fast-paced, high octane trading floors managing technological demands from extremely demanding traders.
After deciding to take some time out on a sabbatical, he somehow started to build his own IT Recruitment ventures and never went back to the City. ‘Technical recruitment by technical people’ was the mantra, where he utilized his technical expertise to win trust with both clients and candidates alike as he was so to put it – one of them. However, like everyone who has a smart business idea, the shift required from converting a creative spark to actually generating revenue from it is a path not everyone is able to successfully tread. Not Saj. From being a salaried employee to having to go out there and win business with no prior sales experience whatsoever in an incredibly competitive and saturated marketplace where smaller players just get crushed, it was time to put these fabled people skills to the test.
Winning business immediately with leading Hedge Funds and Asset Managers with Artemis Recruitment and then specializing in working with Managed Service IT providers with WinGig. He is currently a partner at Quantribute working with large banks and consulting firms providing a niche offering to the financial services Quantitative Engineering space. It’s been an interesting ride learning how to sell. All by himself. He tries not to take life too seriously and has a healthy curiosity about people and the world around him.
