Rupert is a coffee entrepreneur, café operator, early stage Angel investor and mad motorcyclist.

After traditional consulting, a Fontainebleau MBA, more strategy consulting and a stretch as an equity analyst in London, I decided I was tired of giving advice and decided I wanted to create a business. I was less concerned with the type of enterprise than with the objective, namely, to earn full time freedom to follow my main passion (adventure motorcycling on all continents). The specialist coffee market was just taking off in the UK so, naturally, I thought I’d jump in despite knowing nothing about coffee or retail. Winding forward a couple of decades, I enjoy early stage investing in areas I know even less about than coffee and have largely met my objectives.
