Amanda’s focus has increasingly become business innovation in her role as Venture Partner, Significant Capital Ventures, a fund focused on global commercialization of applied materials technology from university research.
Amanda’s previous board roles include V/Line Pty Ltd, Anglicare Victoria Inc., Golf Victoria Inc., Burra Foods Pty Ltd. Amanda has a strong focus on financial and non-financial reporting including strategy, risk management, value creation, organizational culture and process improvement. Her board experience in the public and private sectors includes deep networks in transport and infrastructure, university and disruptive technology sector, welfare services and sporting organizations.
Early career experience in corporate affairs for large corporations BHP and Rio Tinto, began the road to a practical understanding of financial and commercial management, corporate governance and culture, marketing and the customer journey, and the imperative of pivoting a business to survive and thrive. Amanda’s first board role was as a co-founder and COO of a regional food processing.
