Simon Ruddick, Chairman & Co-Founder, Albourne Partners

Simon Ruddick is the Chairman of Albourne Partners, the world’s largest specialist investment consultancy in the hedge fund industry, having served as its CEO from the firm’s formation in March 1994 through to August 2015. Albourne’s 280+ clients have over 550 billion dollars invested in alternative investments. Albourne was awarded the Queen’s Award for Enterprise in 2006 and again in 2009. Simon Ruddick received Lifetime Achievement Awards from Global Custodian in 2010 and from Hedge Fund Review in 2012. In both 2012 and 2017, Albourne was ranked 1st in HFM Week’s Investor Power 30, the top most influential investors and advisors in the hedge fund space.

Philanthropic efforts and initiatives have included:

 Hosting Hedgestock in 2006, attracting over 4,000 attendees and featuring a performance by The Who on behalf of Teenage Cancer Trust.
 Receiving the International Leadership Award from the American Red Cross in 2012.
 Served as a Trustee of the Theatres Trust from 2014 to 2017 and initiated the “Spend A Penny” Campaign to improve the provision of Ladies toilets in theatres.
 Produced “The Importance of Being Lewis” at the Dominion Theatre to raise money for the Duchenne Research Fund in 2015.
 Hosted “Dance Against Dementia” featuring the top 24 ballroom and Latin dancers in the world at the Royal Horticultural Halls on behalf of the Alzheimer’s Society in 2018.
 Produced “Live and Let Hedge” at the Savoy Theatre on behalf of the Make A Difference Trust in 2018.
